How this directory is scoped
It covers active brands with a customer-facing business supply proposition, not every wholesale trader, dormant licensee or duplicate group company in the licence register. A licence does not mean a supplier will quote every meter, region or customer size. Availability must be checked directly.
What to request in writing
The offer should identify the legal entity, premises, MPRN, rates, contract dates, estimated annual cost and additional fees. Ask whether a broker is being paid and where the remuneration is disclosed.
For sites with seasonal or changing gas use, ask which annual consumption figure was used and how volume differences are treated.

How the supplier table is maintained
The directory covers active brands with a public business-supply proposition. It excludes wholesale-only traders, duplicate group licensees and companies that do not provide a normal route for a business to request supply.
Independent complaints data is included where Citizens Advice publishes a current ratio. A supplier’s absence from that table is not evidence of zero complaints or poor service.
